DSP stands for Direct Support Professional. IMPACT DSPs are highly trained men and women who work directly with individuals who have developmental and/or intellectual disabilities

Absolutely. If your child is 18 years or older then you can be trained to become their DSP. If your child is under the age of 18, then a grandparent, aunt, uncle, or any other family member or trusted friend can fill that role. In either situation, all DSPs must be 18 years or older.
